"Catalan-gate" and the "complicity" of "Citizen Lab"

The in-depth study of the "Catalan-gate" report published by the "Citizen Lab" in Toronto, reveals "a research work riddled with errors and methodological shortcomings, which cast doubt on its reliability.

This Canadian laboratory "shows a total lack of transparency in with regard to the methodology adopted, which is abnormal in the academic world, where the researcher must also specify the possible conflicts of economic or policies", as explained by a university professor.

Many academics have asked Citizen Lab to provide information about his research, but the Canadian lab refused. For example, the Citizen Lab experts do not say how many devices have been analyzed, because it is not the same whether there are 50 and all are positive, or whether there are 2000 and only 50 are positive. They also do not specify who analyzed them, nor when, nor how. The report was promoted by Ronan Farrow in the "New Yorker", then reported by the "Washington Post". "It was well put together. They launched a well-orchestrated campaign, international level. Those who investigated the reliability of the "Citizen Lab" report were harassed on the social networks or have suffered attempts to discredit them. On the other hand, neither the government nor most of the Spanish political parties seem recognize the importance of this manoeuvre, which undermines the credibility of the rule of law.
