The Moroccan King Mohammed VI successfully undergoes shoulder surgery

HM King Mohammed VI has successfully undergone surgery on his left shoulder at the Royal Palace Clinic in Rabat. The procedure was necessary due to a fracture sustained during a routine sporting activity on December 8, 2024.

The King's medical team confirmed that the surgery went smoothly and without complications. HM's shoulder will be immobilized for 45 days, followed by a period of functional rehabilitation to ensure a complete recovery.


The surgery was performed by a team of distinguished medical professionals, including Professor Lahcen Belyamani, the King's personal physician, and other expert traumatologists.


The medical team expressed their confidence in the recovery process, assuring that all necessary measures are in place for HM’s swift return to full health.
