''Maroc, le potentiel d'un changement transformateur'' is the title of the new book presented, during a conference organized Wednesday 15 June in Geneva, by its author Noureddine Obad, a Moroccan-Swiss specialist in development.
Published by Editions Edilivre, the book is intended to be ''a civic contribution which highlights the progress and development of Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI over the past twenty years''.
"In a context of heightened international financial and economic crisis, Morocco, strong in its African identity, harbors many energies and potentialities allowing it to create favorable conditions for impetus and development for the African continent", said underlined Mr. Obad, during the presentation of the book in the presence of an audience of personalities from various backgrounds, ambassadors, the Chief Rabbi of Geneva, academics, researchers and Moroccan skills in Switzerland.
And to continue: “Morocco is a Kingdom in constant evolution, its progress is determined to reach its vocation. Its potential, its human and natural capital are set in motion''.
''Led by a progressive Sovereign, the developments of the last twenty years have enabled Morocco to reach a sufficient economic level to help modernize Africa and thus carry the promise of a peaceful and modern future Africa' ', argued the author of the books ''One Dollar to change the world'' and ''Arab Spring! Evolution after the Revolution.
He noted that “the Kingdom is today a key actor of transformative change in North Africa and plays a major role in the multilateral mediation of many conflicts and disputes in Africa and the Middle East”.
During the presentation of the book, which took place jointly with Henri Louis Védie, French economist, professor emeritus at HEC Paris, the author highlighted the progress of the Kingdom on the socio-economic level, including in its Southern Provinces.
The book addresses a series of issues relating in particular to political and institutional reforms in Morocco, the take-off of value chains with high potential for transformation, industrial development with a strong economic and social impact, education and vocational training, the assets of the economic environment and the business climate in the Kingdom, the role of Morocco as a locomotive of continental development, in addition to the new development model of the southern provinces.
The conference gave rise to fruitful exchanges on the progress made in Morocco in the various fields, as well as the strengths and prospects for growth in the Kingdom.
Various personalities hailed, on this occasion, the development experienced by Morocco, under the leadership of HM the King, highlighting the role played by the Kingdom as a serious, credible and committed player and partner in the service of regional, continental and international peace, stability and development.
