MOROCCAN PRINCESSES RECEIVED FOR LUNCH AT ELYSÉE PALACE, ATINVITATION OF BRIGITTE MACRON

The sisters of HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco were received for lunch on Monday 20 Feb at the Elysée Palace at the invitation of Brigitte Macron, the wife of current French president Emmanuel Macron.

Their Royal Highnesses Princess Lalla Meryem, Princess Lalla Asmae and Princess Lalla Hasnaa of Morocco, attended the  luncheon in keeping with the longstanding friendly relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, said Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP).

Observers viewed the event a new chapter of Morocco-France relations following  divergences on the Western Sahara dispute and other matters of foremost importance to Morocco.

This meeting, which was convened on the very high instruction of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and hosted by Brigitte Macron, comes shortly after the French President instructed his Prime Minister to enhance relations with Morocco, signaling a renewed commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
